Book and Documentary Project About the Artist Anne Packard

Skylark Press is pleased to announce that it has started production, in association with Claude Villani Enterprises, on a significant book and documentary project about the life and work of Provincetown-based artist Anne Packard.

This multi-media project will consist of a book and DVD. From her sketches and line drawings to finished pastels and works on paper, the hardcover book will take the reader on a unique journey through Anne Packard’s creative process. Acclaimed award-winning author David Michaelis, best known for his New York Times bestseller Schulz and Peanuts; a biography of Charles M. Schulz, and N.C. Wyeth: A Biography, and curator/gallerist Claude Villani, will write forewords for the publication, while art writer and senior Riverside Museum curator Peter Frank will write an in depth essay about the artist's work.

Writer/producer Emily Lau, known for her work for the History Channel and the Discovery Network will write, produce and direct “A Day in the Life of Anne Packard” [working title], a 30-minute portrait that will intimately explore the life and working process of an artist who has found worldwide acclaim for her art, but often prefers the silence and solitude of her Provincetown studio.

Anne Packard’s work is in numerous collections including the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Oglethorpe University Museum of Art, Cape Cod Museum of Art, Kemper Museum of Art, Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, New Jersey State Museum and numerous distinguished private collections.
